III. National Sociology Congress

The Future of Sociology, The Sociology of The Future: Social Sciences in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

December 18-19, 2025, Ankara

Artificial intelligence technologies, rapidly spreading globally, are transforming social structures, institutions, and everyday life practices. This transformation is not merely a technical innovation; it also entails the reconstruction of social relations, power mechanisms, identity formation processes, and cultural meaning systems.

In this context, the National Congress on the Future of Sociology: The Future of the Social Sciences in the Age of Artificial Intelligence aims to bring together researchers from all disciplines of the social sciences to reflect on the following questions: How is artificial intelligence reshaping social stratification, class relations, and forms of labor? How does technology create tension between surveillance, privacy, and citizenship rights? How are cultural production, identity politics, and collective memory transforming in the age of artificial intelligence?

We invite academics, researchers, and experts from sociology, anthropology, political science, communication, psychology, history, philosophy, and other social science fields to share their original contributions within the framework of the conference themes. Our conference aims to contribute to a multidimensional analysis of social life in the age of artificial intelligence by providing an interdisciplinary discussion environment.

Conference Themes

* Artificial intelligence and social change: transformation, continuity, and resistance

* Artificial intelligence in the context of class, gender, ethnicity, and inequalities

* Digital surveillance, privacy, and citizenship rights

* Artificial intelligence in education and higher education: opportunities and risks

* Labor processes, automation, and the sociology of digital capitalism

* Cultural production, media, and the algorithmic transformation of art
